About us

We do the part nobody has time for

Freight claims are unglamorous, deadline-driven and document-heavy. They are also worth real money — which is why they should not be sitting in someone's inbox behind more urgent work.

Asset Recovery came out of logistics, not insurance. We have been on the operations side of damaged freight: the pallet that arrives crushed, the count that does not reconcile, the carrier who stops replying. That is why we build claims the way an adjuster reads them, and why we tell you early when a claim is not worth chasing.

We work with shippers, carriers, brokers and warehouses. We do not act on both sides of the same claim.

How we work

Four things we hold to

An honest read, early

If your claim is weak, out of time, or capped by the carrier's tariff at a fraction of what you lost, we will say so at the start rather than after months of correspondence.

Evidence over assertion

Claims are won on documents. We would rather spend an extra day assembling the file than send something thin and spend a month arguing about it.

Deadlines are the job

Filing windows, notice periods and response deadlines are tracked from intake. A good claim filed late is worth nothing, and that is the most avoidable way to lose money.

Clear accounting

You see what was claimed, what was recovered, what salvage returned and where any shortfall came from. No recovery arrives without an explanation attached.

Coverage

Where we work

Based in Dearborn, Michigan, with on-site inspection and inventory work across the Midwest. Claims work itself is document-driven, so we handle shipments nationally.

Talk to us

A conversation costs nothing

Tell us about the shipment. Worst case, you find out quickly that there is nothing worth pursuing — which is useful too.
